Showrooms & counters

Sample books, roll collection and press talk across South Africa.

Counters where the swatch books live

Jet Park is the main trade counter: rolls on the shelf, sample books on the table, press talk when a make-ready is being stubborn. Cape Town (Ndabeni), Durban (Pinetown) and Pretoria (Centurion) keep regional books warm so partners are not waiting on a Gauteng courier for every swatch.

Gqeberha and Bloemfontein run by arrangement for collection and advice. Mail ahead if you need a large pickup or a specific indent lot pulled. Addresses and habits sit on each city page under showrooms.

Visitors usually arrive with a board sample, a die photo and a launch date. That is enough for us to pull two or three candidate grades and talk heat windows without a long presentation. Bring soft-touch or UV-coated pieces if that is what will run; a plain coated chip lies.

Trade accounts set up through the Johannesburg desk even when you collect in Cape Town. See account setup and ordering. For same-day Gauteng needs, confirm stock before you drive the M2.

Counters do not replace email specs. After a visit, we still want the PO to name grade, width, release and batch notes. That is how reprints stay honest six months later when the seasonal carton returns.

Sample books wear out. If a chip is missing or scuffed, ask for a replacement leaf rather than guessing from memory. We would rather reprint a page than watch a wrong gold land on a long run because someone remembered last year's swatch.

Parking and gate habits differ by site. Jet Park collection is fastest when you have a PO number ready. Ndabeni and Pinetown prefer a heads-up email the day before for anything beyond a couple of sample rolls.

Students and trainees are welcome by appointment with an education note on the mail. Sample kits for classes are limited; book early in term. The counter is a working trade desk first, classroom second.

Bring your own gloves if you handle dark boards; fingerprints on soft-touch samples annoy the next visitor. Coffee stays away from the swatch table. Small habits keep the books usable.
